First of all upon arrival to the hostel it was very very appealing from the road, I felt like I was arriving to a fancy condo in the states 🤣 Chavvy & Shailie were amazing, they made me feel so welcome that I really left feeling like I have family, from good laughs to even dropping me off at the bus stop because I was a little nervous - tremendous. I put my hammock up in the garden which the caretakers helped with & was astonishing to simply be in the amazing garden with such diverse wildlife (there was even a local peacock!) I only booked this hostel because I'm a travelling yoga teacher and needed somewhere calm to practice & teach - Alma hostel allowed me to do just that, with excellent ifi and many spaces to teach from whether the garden, the upstairs lobby/co-working space or even my room was big enough. My all time favourite thing about Alma's was the interior design - like wow. Everything was custom made with wicker/bamboo and the interior was exceptionally clean - I genuinely felt like I was crashing at my own place. Loved it so much.

Me and one of my office colleague stayed at house of sincerity for three nights and I must say the place is really comfy. The place is so close to Maharagama town ( just walking distance to Wattegedara junction) and our stay was really great. The room has a pantry with gas cooker, microwave, mini fridge and other cooking stuffs which was really helpful. Akil, the owner is so supportive, friendly and assures the safety of the tenants. Will defenitly choose the place in future as well.

I had a wonderful stay at Alakamandava spending 4 nights here at the beginning and end of a 2 week holiday. The beautiful apartment and location is peaceful and perfect to relax and unwind after a long flight, yet a short tuk tuk ride away from Colombo City. The hosts Dharshana and Bhagya ensure that you have everything you need, and the breakfast and meal choices were superb, really enjoyed the Sri Lankan options (although I had to Google some things, and there's also Pasta and Pizza etc.. As a solo traveller I felt completely safe here, it's very homely and so many pretty terraces to sit and look over the neighbourhood. I enjoyed watching the tree Squirells, and many different birds.. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

When he found out that his usual taxi driver wasn’t available on the day of arrival, he personally went to the airport to pick up my manager. Beyond the exceptional hospitality, the accommodation itself is in a fantastic location—just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, making it ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy both business and relaxation. A beautiful apartment, tastefully furnished, in the heart of Colombo, perfectly located to explore the city. Shopping, restaurants and bars are in walking distance as well as a beautiful park where you can go for a early morning stroll. This property was perfect for our group of six. We found it to be extremely conveniently located, impeccably clean, and very comfortable throughout our stay. The availability of parking for approximately two cars (depending on their size) was a definite plus. We absolutely love our time here! This place is pretty wonderful. We adore the layout of the property. The extra seating and kitchen area added a lovely touch to the space.The decor is stunning. I can tell a lot of time and work was put into this place! The linens and towels are of good quality. The handpainted murals add a great touch to the place. The owner is extremely helpful! I will 💯 recommend this place to anyone!

After a few minor misunderstandings at the beginning, we were warmly welcomed into this little corner of paradise just outside Colombo. Thanks to Chandrika, a truly wonderful host, we immediately felt at home. We are a family of four, and each of us had a perfectly furnished private bedroom — a real comfort during our stay. The apartment is beautifully maintained with great attention to detail. The residence itself is safe, with guards at the entrance, and offers excellent facilities: a beautiful swimming pool and a tennis court, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although slightly outside the city center, tuk-tuks made it easy and convenient to reach everything we needed. Breakfast, prepared daily by Chandrika, was always delicious, generous, and varied — a real highlight of our stay. In short, this place is not only worth trying once, but definitely worth coming back to. Highly recommended!
