Amazing place, walking distance to the Anuradhapura Town…We stayed for two days and had an incredibly comfortable experience. The cleanliness was absolutely 10 out of 10 – everything was spotless. The beds and all the amenities were of the highest standard, providing a truly relaxing stay. The staff were very professional, helpful, and respectful throughout. We felt completely at ease, with a sense of freedom that made it feel just like home. Highly recommended!

First: huge room as you see it , bed big and comfy, all you need is there. In addition the setting is perfect, far from main roads, it is quiet, no car noise, no pollution, immerse in a garden with Coco and banana plants, you wake up with birds singing. there are even the srilanka squirrels! Not sure the name.. Archeological park is far from town and huge, therefore you need a mean of transport anyway... But the most important thing were Ishani and her family. i was booking places for our holiday, when I saw this place and I decided that I was going to book all places run by local families, in order to know them more, the culture, the food. Also I know that srilanka people are very nice and I think they deserve to be known and to be rewarded directly. But I couldn't imagine we were going to feel so well here! They are all so incredibly nice. We had srilanka breakfast and dinner for the 3days prepared by them, great! I suggested them to set cooking classes! The big surprise was that they speak also Italian! So we chat in English and Italian! Leaving this morning was not easy, we felt at home. And I really wishto see them again. For sure we'll keep in touch. I don't think it'll be possible to match this great welcoming place during this trip.

It is a single mother in charge of her bed and breakfast. Although it is basic It is super clean well maintained. She is adorable and would recommend to stay if you’re not looking for luxury. Provide good breakfast and also provide a tour to take you around for an acceptable price. The driver is her friend and he is super kind. You can spend four hours to visit the ancient city for a really acceptable price Would recommend strongly to do it.

Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

The owners made us feel like a part of their family. They arranged all our meals and activities during our two nights in the city. The meals they cooked for us were better than any of the restaurants we’ve eaten at in Sri Lanka. Even when we found some bugs in our room, they came in and cleared them out for us!
