Staying in this ryokan was an absolutely fantastic experience! Maki-san and her mother were so friendly and hospitable, you wouldn’t believe it. The wooden house is just stunning. It is beautifully integrated into the surrounding nature, and its interior has a warmth to it, which is instantly soothing as soon as you walk in. It is an ideal place to let go of it all, and simply relax. Every afternoon, after having a green tea, the two onsen baths were prepared for us. After a day of walking in the beautiful forest with its many shrines, this truly was the perfect way to relax even more. And then last, but not least… The food was out of this world good! Both breakfast and dinner were an absolute treat every time again. We discovered plenty of local dishes and specialties, that were presented in such a beautiful way. Every dish was a feast for the eyes, and tasted amazing! If you want to discover real traditional Japanese food, then this is the perfect place. We cannot recommend this ryokan enough, but at the same time we want to keep it a secret, so we are sure that we can make a reservation next time we go to Japan!
