Such a cosy and comfortable cottage in a peaceful location. Really well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Host was very responsive when we had questions. Would recommend to any families looking for a peaceful get-away.

Perfect ski lodge for our large family. The owners were very hospitable and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific. Thank you for making our family trip extra memorable!

The owners are great, helped out when i had issues with transportation. They have a free shuttle to the monkey park. They also gave me a lot of ski equipment, so that i wouldnt have to rent. The ski bus system isnt great, but the ryokan does its best. One of the best price/preformance ratios in Japan.

A traditional and authentic place, conveniently located near the station, easy to get to the Monkey Park. The owners are wonderful, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area, with good English. The stay itself was very comfortable — highly recommended!
