When choosing a place for a great holiday, aside from the mandatory “clean/quiet/organized/unpretentious/hot-water-does-not-run-out”, we have a checklist that helps: 1) small and family run, 2) has a garden and an uncrowded pool, 3) close to the sea, but away from the main street, 4) walking distance to the nearest town, 5) good food inside or close-by. This place checks all the boxes!!! If you are anything like us, you will enjoy it greatly. When we booked, there were not many reviews - and this boutique hotel bested our expectations. The owners Paola and Dario make you feel at home, as does the main waiter in the restaurant, Pino. Most recommended! The location: you are in a garden just above the sea, 100 m walk from a little beach, away from the main road. It is also a 10-15 min seaside walk to the cozy Forio - or 3 min walk to the bus stop that takes you to anywhere on the island. (Note that if you are coming from Napoli, you can take the ferry directly to Forio. Dario was very kind - he picked us up at the ferry. You really do not need a car in Ischia.) The hotel looks better in reality than in the photos. There are two pools: one regular large pool, one thermal hot water. The pool area is separated from the hotel by a garden and the dining terrace, so you do not hear the pool sounds in the rooms. The room was renovated and clean. Airconditioning is quiet and works well. The restaurant: The breakfast and lunch is served on the garden terrrace, the dinner is in a downstairs hall. We had two lunches and a dinner during our stay, all of which were really delicious and ample. For us, the food bested all other restaurants in Ischia.

We actually loved everything about this hotel. It is our first time on Ischia so we did not know much about the island and its neighborhoods. But now we know a bit more, and realize how lucky we were choosing Casa Guiseppina. 1. Ischia is a wonderful island. 2. The Sant Angelo area is really beautiful and cars are banned in the centre of the village. 3. The village of Succhivo, 1 km away is the perfect hub in the area. You have a bus stop, a snack bar and a nice restaurant "Osteria della Mamma". 4. Casa Guiseppina is the obvious place to choose for a stay. There are three sections of the hotel: the main building with the restaurant, the nearby annex with the pool, and a bit away they have some larger apartments. 5. The pool. We stayed in the pool section of the hotel. The building is affluently embedded in flowers, trees, pergolas and the vulcano-heated pool is pleasantly 35 degrees warm. 6. Rooms are rustic, cleaning is flawless. 7. The hosts are great and have an informal friendliness making you feel very welcome. 8. Breakfast is fresh with fruits, eggs by choise, and good coffee served at the table. 9. You can on a daily whim choose if you want dinner or not. Just tell before noon. 10. Dinner is a well tasting four course meal with a great mix of dishes focusing on vegetables, pasta, meat/fish + dessert. Of the + 50 hotels I reviewed in Booking, this is the kind of 3 star hotels you never would trade even if you are offered a 5 star alternative.

Very well-positioned hotel - almost in the sea, clean room, balcony with amazing view, a small swimming pool, the terrace for breakfast/lunch/dinner is great, delicious food. The access from the bus stop/car parking is not very easy, but if you call the owner, he will come and help or he will send someone to do it. The staff was very nice, helpful, we felt as we were among friends. It is a simple and modest hotel, but in the same time, distinguished and special, at least for us :-)

Breakfast on the terrace was an international feast thoughtfully prepared by our wonderful host, Christian. It included Italian cornettis, German yogurts, fresh fruits and juices, cereals and muesli from various countries, homemade jams and jellies, and the fluffiest scrambled eggs made with local ingredients. The coffee and tea bar was exceptional, offering various drink choices that made me return for more. Picture this - a mesmerizing view of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea and the charm of Sant Angelo, all of it visible through a beautiful pergola covered in vibrant bougainvilleas. The view is so stunning that it will leave you spellbound.

Highly recommend this spot for your stay in Ischia. The breakfast overlooking the bay of Forio is unbeatable and the fresh produce from the farm is amazing. Rooms are comfortable and the location is 10/10. The view and sunset are just spectacular. The dogs & kittens are friendly faces for the morning too. Giosue is super helpful & friendly.

The location was great, staff was great, breakfast was very good. We booked three rooms - two were newer and had strong AC, the third did not have strong AC and was a problem since it was so hot. The wifi was very bad and we were never able to connect even though they gave us a few networks to try. I brought my dog and they were great about having pets, which was so nice. The staff was very nice and professional and very accommodating.

Very beautiful territory and convenient location. Th e residence is located next to a good sandy beach where pets are allowed and a 10-minute walk from the thermal park "Gardens of Poseidon". Within walking distance there is a mini market and many restaurants. The old town and the city market are 18 minutes walk along shady streets. Ideal for a family trip and a quiet holiday with your family. The owners of the residence allow pets and are very friendly and nice people.

Location very good, easy to get around on public transport, area itself quite beach focused and chilled with some really nice restaurants just minutes from hotel Hotel itself very chilled and relaxed and has great pools. Good hot showers.Poolside lunches are nice with lots of fresh ingredients served in a lovely tree shaded area. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar staff excellent. On evenings when there was entertainment it was very good. Trumpeter was excellent.

The location and restaurants were great. The entertainment at the one restaurant was excellent an unique combination......a DJ playing pre-recorded backing tracks.....but also played guitar and trumpet. Staff was helpful.

Beautiful pool area with great views. Loved the breakfast and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and kind (as well as the two dogs and family of cats which were always happy to let us pet them most of the time we were there!). Dinner was great value for money, as well as the great entertainment/atmosphere. loved the stay & would come back again.
