The triple room was spacious and nicely decorated. The little balcony was a nice touch that we were not expecting. The hotel has beautiful surroundings, it was still beautiful even though we didn’t pick a room with lake view, it would have been nicer with a lake view though. The breakfast was really nice.

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.

If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely cosy apartment with windows all round and overlooking Lake Myvatn. It was the perfect place to relax and hope to see the Northern Lights from the big balcony outside. The place was thoughtfully designed as open plan with nice touches such as candles and rugs. The underfloor heating was very efficient and plenty of kitchenware plus oven, stovetop, microwave, washing machine etc. We had looked at slightly cheaper options nearby but I think it was worth paying a little extra for this one. Would highly recommend!

The house is very well kept with beautiful antiques. The view of myvatn lake from the house is stunning. The house has a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay in the house.

Great room in a beautiful location. The host was very friendly and helpful, our favourite of the whole two week trip! The value for money was unbeatable considering that the price included a small, nice breakfast. We'll definitely book a room here again, if we ever visit this part of Iceland again!
