A very comfortable room with A/C and great facilities. It also has a smart tv which I found very useful for the evenings. You also have use of a fridge and a kitchen area. The hosts are lovely and really helpful. There is a metro station a short walk away which I was using to explore the city. I highly recommend a stay here if you are in Kolkata.

a beautiful Bengali heritage boutique hotel that has set a very high standards across Kolkata. The check-in experience was smooth; rooms immaculate; breakfast buffet absolutely scrumptious with various cuisines from different regions of India and the F&B staff that made sure everyone was seamlessly catered to; the location was absolutely gorgeous and meditative with a massive area surrounded by lustrous green. The entire staff is the epitome of hospitality including the security personnel Kunal at the entrance. I and my wife had a wonderful time and wish to visit again.

From the moment we arrived we received outstanding care from the on-site concierge. Nothing was too much trouble - from house cleaning to laundry and help with the local food delivery services. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. AC in every room, kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a water filter which meant that we did not have to buy bottled water. Beds were extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was a bonus extra space to hang out in the evenings. WiFi was excellent. The location was great. You could get a cab directly to the door and it is walking distance to Ballygunge train station, a local supermarket, Gariathat and many restaurants and coffee houses. Would highly recommend!

Everything about this property, the host, the location is WOW. Anybody who is looking to immerse themselves in Traditional Bengali culture, way of living and art - this is the place to be. The host is extremely detail oriented and makes your stay comfortable and most importantly warm. I stayed here with my parents, uncle and my partner and we are definitely coming back. Staying at The Turquoise Letter Box was truly the most beautiful introduction to Kolkata I could have hoped for! From the moment I arrived, Soumik and Dona welcomed me with a kindness that made me feel instantly at home. Their generosity, warmth, and constant care made every aspect of my stay smooth and joyful — they truly help with everything and go far beyond what you'd expect. Their son, clever and quick-witted, challenged me to a game of chess (which I did lose!) and made for delightful company. Their daughter, with her sweetness and bright smile, added even more charm to the atmosphere. The rooms — more like little intimate apartments — are spotlessly clean and wonderfully cozy, with beautiful carved wooden beds that give the space an artistic, serene feel. If you're looking for a stay that feels like a warm embrace and a window into the heart of Kolkata, this is the place. I couldn't recommend it more!

Rooms were spacious and airy. Location was too good with every small needs of my family fulfilled. Property was damn clean and interior was very pleasant. The staff behaviour deserves special mention, particulary Manager Dipak Sharma and caretaker Joydeb. Check-in and early morning check-out was very smooth. Full marks! Strongly recommended.
