Breakfast was great. Location of course, was a little off grid, but isn't that the whole point ? (Loved the "Tuk Tuk" ride from the parking area to the hotel, amongst the rice paddies). "Service Recovery" from the day manager was fantastic. After we had an initial issue upon arriving at our room (see below), he tried (multiple times), to compensate us for the situation. Problem was, for him, we do not complain normally. and definitely not to gain "free offers" from hotels, which is therefore why we constantly refused any form of compensation. The upshot of all this was, he and his staff tried to make us feel as welcome as possible. This is 6 STAR service. 10 out of 10, especially for the effort.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, as is the bathroom. All is brand new, no trace of humidity, no bugs. Great AC. The terrace is beautiful with a view to the lush garden and pool. The pool is very nice, not too much chlorine to burn your skin like other places! They even were so kind to provide us with a fridge on request as we stayed for 15 days. It is quiet and there are markets and lovely places to eat, spas, laundry and money exchange. The family is a dream! So warm and friendly and the kids are angels.

The staff is truly amazing! Bella, Candra and Warsa were so sweet and caring! But everyone really was. Special thanks to their driver Warsa, he was extremely kind and even took me to the hospital when I was feeling unwell. He stayed with me the whole time and comforted me, this meant so much to me especially since I’m travelling alone. I enjoyed my stay at Amarea. The massage I got was very good! It’s a very cute room as well, and I loved the outdoor bathroom!!
