The hosts were incredible, they were very kind and always paying attention to our needs. They also helped us to arrange an outing with the horses to the glacier. The room in the property is authentic and is located in the middle of the village. If you stay there I highly recommend to have dinner and breakfast in the house as they will serve you real, home made svanetian food.

Best food we had the whole time we were in Svaneti. We were the only people eating dinner that night and there were loads of tasty dishes for us. The host was very nice and although she spoke only a little English she tried to help us with Google translate and her children spoke English. She also helped us organise a taxi back to Mestia. And the Wi-Fi actually worked well!

We stayed one night in Vila Larphari with a group of 9 family and friends The location is gorgeous by the river and very short walk to the village The owners are the nicest people and the breakfasts and dinner was great They also organized a trip on horses for us to the glacier. The horses are very calm and we felt very safe with experienced guides. It will be definitely the highlight of our trip I would definitely recommend Vila Larphari x

What can we say?! Our stay with Iia and Bori was the best. We were welcomed so friendly by Iia. The dinner was always delicious and a lot. The conversations were great although we didn't speak the same language. Every evening we stayed for hours in the kitchen. No question was too much, it was my cousin's birthday and Iia went above and beyond to help to get a cake and make a surprise. Iva Suchari!

Sit in the courtyard and watch the Shkhara mountain - I can do it all day! The guesthouse provides basic but sufficient facility, can do laundry which is very imported after 3-4days hiking, location is kind of central among the 4 villages of Ushguli so it's easy to walk around. The host lady is very friendly and helpful, and the jam offered in the breakfast are super!

To put it short it was the highlight of the trek to Ushguli and I would strongly recommend this short stretch of 1 kilometre from the hill where most travellers are staying. We instantly made friends with the host Raul and his friend David and spent the whole evening with a nice conversation while having delicious meals. The value for money is outstanding and the house where you stay in is 17th century family establishment. I have no words to thank Raul and planning to come back many times in the future. Thank you 🙏
