Nice place to stay, it was good that the key boxes were inside.

Everything was clean! Anssi the host of the Log Cabin is very nice and friendly person: get us all around the place , and fixed everything we were asking for. It is a quiet place deep in the woods. The huge Inari lake is in the walking distance. We visited the place in the days of deep snow and deep polar night,- but get nearly three hours of good daylight: me and a family enjoyed skiing to the Great Inari Lake through the woods (You could find good roads for it on the google maps). The Lord Sormuset house has everything to live in . It is clean house. And the most important - it is saami house. If You are here in Finland , and traveled through museum or two - and have seen the saami life on the pictures . If You want to expiriense it for real with Your body and senses - it is right place to fo so! The house is not big. It has freezer and huge stove. My daughter very enjoyed the second floor for sleep over the stove. Half of the building is a small sauna. But it more then enough, when You light it with the woods for enough time - it gets so hot! We very enjoyed to run our hot bodies out of the sauna, and get snow all over us! I really couldn't imaging me to do so in any other place (and we get around the Finland for month right now , and get to all kind of places). The water is not the must thing in the saami house - and You should get it in the buckets from the water pump, that is near the house. That is the real expirience - to get water to the house by walking through the snow in the polar night! My daughter really enjoyed it! The same is with the toilet room - You have it , eco one, near the house. The house was clean, we have clean linens and towels supplied by housekeeper Anssi. The kitchen has everything to cook on and to eat from. The small space if the house, that get all our family closer - was very nice expirience.

We really enjoyed how big and well equipped the home was, we had everything we needed and the view was peaceful and beautiful (we even saw auroras over the lake!) It was quiet and at the same time close to Inari by car, we recommend!

It is a perfect location for people loving wilderness, and Owner is extremely helpful. Be prepared to do without usual facilities, like running water (but the lake is a few steps away) and conventional bathroom. But having sauna in the woods is awesome.

Everything is so GOOD about Väre Holiday Home - the hosts, the views, the coziness and cleanliness, you name it. I can't wait to come back!

Super cute cabin with integrated private sauna and an inside fire stove with additional fire tipi outside. Directly looking at a lake and the forest in the middle of nowhere with amazing stars and some northern lights. The owners are super friendly and the huskies are adorable, we could also feed them with them. They had 6 weeks old puppies which were super cute!

Independent chalet overlooking the lake, very quiet, private, intimate. We had animals greet us every morning: squirrels, birds, reindeer... it felt like a fairy tale. The chalet faces south, perfect to watch the sunset - on the other hand, the Northern Lights will come in from behind the chalet. The lake was completely frozen so we walked through it to get to the stores on the other shore and to see the Northern Lights :-). Comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, functioning sauna. Self cleaning required afterwards (service is available for a fee). Easy to reach in winter with a standard rental car (we had a yaris). Parking available just outside the chalet.

What can I say... Such an inspiration! One of the most wonderful places I have lived in so far. And I say "lived", because since I entered the main door I didn't feel like a mere customer, to whom you give the keys and that's it: I was warmly welcomed by Kinga and Kevin, the two brave guys that run this place along with the other talented members of the staff, and from the first moment I realized this is a one-of-a-kind place. Immersed in the quietness and wilderness of the North of Inari region, it's located off the beaten track as the activities they organize: I had the chance to experience artic skiing and meet a Sami reindeer herder simply living the moment, surrounded by nature and guided by people that respect it, promoting a mindful type of tourism. I had time to look around, have a chat on how it is to manage a place like this, recharge in one of their smallest yet super-cozy wooden cabins (although they offer plenty of other bigger accommodations), and taste their delicious food. If you find yourself nearby, you have to stop at least for a coffee... you will leave with a big smile and your heart full. It's so uplifting to see that places - and people - like these are out there, striving to do things differently day by day. Four days were definitely not enough, I look forward to coming again!!
