Stylish and well considered contemporary design in a well appointed hotel. The staff are young but knowledgeable (one of the owners is a sommelier and regaled us with fabulous local Swiss wines) The food is just superb- breakfasts had a good variety of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, Swiss yoghurts and bircher, breads and croissants etc or cooked to order. Dinner was superb- we tried the 3 course tasting menu which was sublime. If we could have afforded it we would have eaten there every night! Location was ideal just out of the main village of Grindelwald, so quieter, yet only a five minute stroll into the centre- plus the buses stop right outside. The best views of the glacier and the Eiger and Wetterhorn opposite!- absolutely stunning views!! We loved it very much!

It was very nice to have a kitchen and refrigerator. There was a supermarket nearby, so I was able to cook and eat whatever I wanted. It was like a detached house, so I could relax and see the greenery outside the window. It was close to the station and convenient to go anywhere. However, it is a steep climb, so be careful if you have a lot of luggage.

One of the highlights is the 800m² 'Fire and Ice Spa,' which includes multiple saunas and an outdoor whirlpool. This spa area was definitely a favorite during my stay. - Rooms: The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the Nespresso coffee maker, daily restocked minibar, and yoga mats. For those looking for a touch of luxury, some rooms come with private saunas and fireplaces. - Dining: Dining at the on-site restaurant, BG's Grill, was a delight. This is the most beautiful hostel I have ever stayed. The view from the hostel is amazing. Location is good. But please keep in mind that it's better to take the Bus 122 to get to hostel instead of walking up the hill( if it's your first time arriving there).
