We were received by a lovely older couple, the parents of the owner, who showed us the house and the grounds. We immediately sampled the fruits that were ready for harvest and it was delicious. The houses are small but comfortable, offering amazing views of Alaverdi and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast with honey and jam from the farm, eggs, sausages and cheese offer a great start to the day.

I loved it here!!! Possibly one of the best stays ever. I didn't expect it at all, considering the location in this remote little village. The owners are so kind, the room was way beyond comfortable! I had all my meals here and their food was delicious. I was going to stay just one night but liked it so much I prolonged. I can't recommend it enough, a true home away from home!!!

We found everything about Iris B&B exceptional, our host Irina was very helpful, and the food she cooked for us the best we have ever had at a B&B. The location is ideal for visiting the many attractions in the area, and as cat lovers the friendly outdoor cats around the property were a bonus. We have many fond memories of our stay here.

Friendly host, great breakfast, the owner even prepared dinner for me late in the evening. Excellent beds, kitchen, furniture, bathroom. Very clean. Free parking. Alaverdi is perfect location to visit the convents/churches and the canyon. If I'll ever visit Alaverdi again, I definitely will stay in this hotel again.

This place is a 10/10 cozy and familiar homestay. Sanahin is a great location since it is on top of the hill above Alaverdi. It’s very easy to get to Alaverdi by bus or taxi and I think it’s definitely more peaceful and beautiful to stay up on the hill. It is also possible to walk from here to Haghpat monastery (9km approximately) and it is completely worth it. Marina and Ala are the friendliest hosts and they made sure our stay was absolutely perfect. The place is super clean, room is spacious and very comfortable, and the dinner we had there was amazing! Thank you Marina and Ala for your generosity and hospitality, we hope to come back :)

A small home hotel right in front of the Haghpat monastery. Great location, you can see the monastery from the balcony. Quiet, fresh air, tiny village on the mountain. The rooms are small and basic, but suitable for an overnight stay. A wonderful homemade dinner - the most delicious in our entire trip to Armenia. Very hospitable hostess. I highly recommend this place for lovers of a quiet authentic environment.

Alaverdi is a must visit when you are in Armenia and we were lucky to stay in a lovely apartment in the higher part of the city. The host was super nice, very helpful, picked us up on our way from bus and managed to get us a taxi to Akhtala. The apartment was very spacious, clean, we had everything we need there and it was also very quiet location.
