The action of rejected customers asking for help with unprofessional English while just playing with her mobile phone was unacceptable (April 4, 2025, during the 3pm to 5pm session). Furthermore, as I asked about massage service in 1F front desk, the staff told me there is no massage service in the hotel, so I need to walk into the SPA Center in 12F and booked by myself. Marriott is a world-class hotel, so the staff need better training in communications with foreign customers, not just with the ones who can speak Chinese.

Its location is excellent, close to the metro and train station, not far from the night market either, many attractions are within walking distance. The breakfast was really good, as if you were in a five-star hotel. You can access the restaurant on the second floor with your room card, where you can fill up your water bottle. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We wished we had had accommodation like this in Taipei.

The property is 900 metres from Kaohsiung Museum of History and 10 minutes' drive from The Pier-2 Art Centre. Kaohsiung Airport is 20 minutes' drive away. Great hotel. It is well-situated in the city centre. The room was very large, clean, with a shower and a bath. The staff was adorable and spoke perfect English, which is rare, in case you’re struggling with mandarin. The hotel offers a free laundry room, a space to work out and a free snack and drinks bar. I have nothing to complain about, which is also rare.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free parking is possible on site. It was one of the best hotels I stayed in Asia, the location is perfect, the staff is incredibly helpful. It was far above my expectations.
