Maison Fimela was the perfect place to end our trip to Senegal. It is nestled in a stunning location, the food was superb and the staff (including Chloe) were all hugely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

On top of that, the location is great, with a beautiful view of sunrise and the river, lots of nice wind, close to the river and village. On top of that, there's a pool! And on that of that, Joseph and Penda and Alecia are wonderful hosts. Joseph is super nice, he'll take you everywhere and show you everything including his beautiful secret spots. I really enjoyed my stay and wanted to stay longer but it was booked up.

The room/bungalow we had was amazing and very functional. The staff is very nice and caring. The pools were very clean as well as our room. It looked like paradise on Earth. It was so relaxing to be there, I wish we had stayed longer. They took the time to even book us some day trips with some tourist guides they know, and we were not disappointed. They took very good care of us, and we had some unforgettable moments and lifetime experiences. The owners trusted us with the drinks, and we felt like home, just like the meaning of the word KOUNZO. Please take the time to sit and chat with the owners as this is - 1st of all - not a typical cold B&B but rather a big warm international family. 2dly - they are so knowledge of life and have a couple of amazing stories to tell. So get the right spirit while visiting them, not matter if you go with your partner, a group of friends, or your family. We left our hearts there and with eyes full of tears of joy.
