Koofan heritage house is amazing! It was built in 1880 and it retains its traditional character. It is built of thick stone and decorated in traditional furniture. It has modern conveniences such as air conditioning and fully functioning plumbing but still retains an old feel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. However, if you are looking for luxury like a Hilton please don’t come here. It is for someone who wants a taste of the past. You eat a traditional breakfast in the morning across from the old fort and really get to know the employees. You get to meet the owner and feel like you are staying as a guest at his house.

Breakfast is included and is very nice and cooked at the moment. The staff at the reception is great. Definitely recommend stay here!

Probably the best and only hostel I found in Salalah and it exceeded expectations. Excellent Omani hospitality, especially from Hashem, who took care of everything. A family-run accommodation in the best way possible; warm, welcoming, and effortless. Location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk from the central market and the Mwasalat bus station to Muscat. Nearby cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs, and local spots all around. There’s a small grocery shop in the same building, and they offer car rentals if you’re heading to explore the mountains or coast. Facilities are well-maintained; fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, and common areas. They have storage space if you arrive early or check out late, and super flexible with check-in timing. In short, value for money, excellent location, and true Omani hospitality. This place is an exceptional base while in Salalah. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Dhofar as an independent traveler.

Communication was excellent and they were always smiling and welcoming. I spent 4 nights in room 605. They allowed for early check in, the view from the balcony over the city at sunrise is just amazing and room was tidy with AC. Parking in front of the building is without problems and it's full of local restaurants and shops in the area. Walking around felt very safe although I was the only tourist all the time. Very close to bus terminus and car rental agencies. Top for low budget visiting Salalah

Very nice hotel, well located right by the sea. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and sea view. Fantastic! Everything is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and professional. I would particularly like to mention the waiters Nahid and Rassel, as well as the lady at reception – they do a great job! The hotel manager was also very courteous and made our stay unforgettable. The most beautiful hotel on our trip through Oman – highly recommended!
