Guests can access the campground via private entrance. Camp Gecko is one of the best memories of our trip! The setting of the large, comfortable tents in the quiet of the desert; the fantastic dinner braai packs with venison steak, salad, home-made bread and even a dessert (as we were not set up for camping, we were given crockery to use for our meal); the swim in the fish pond/pool with mountains in the background; the long shared breakfast table, where we met interesting fellow travellers. The owner Anna and Ernst at reception, who were both lovely, and the beer in the fridge there which was always cold :). We are seriously considering going back there for a longer stay!

Desert Hills Lodge is situated 35.9 km from the Sossusvlei and Sesriem section of the Namib Naukluft National Park. This is the 3rd time I have been a guest at the Soft Adventure Camp, and I am thrilled every time! At night, zebras or wildebeest may pass by the camp, and the night sky is simply breathtaking. Also, the food is so good and the staff is super friendly. I'm already looking forward to my 4th stay!
