Small resort with two large A-frame suites. Contemporary design/decor and well maintained grounds made for a visually appealing experience. Rooms are large with a full ensuite bath/shower. Glass wall at the front lets you see the grounds during the day; full set of curtains gives you the necessary privacy at night. For the price I found the value exceptional. Location is close to town but we used Tuk Tuk's to get there and back.

The room is so stylish and the photos don’t do it justice. The safari was absolutely amazing and Leel pulled over a couple of times to collect litter, one piece would have been particularly harmful to the wildlife, which shows his care and commitment to his job and the animals. Leel always maintained a very respectful distance to animals, which worked very much in our favour as one elephant approached us and grazed a metre from the truck. The safari breakfast made by Leel’s wonderful mum and wife was incredible, they really know how to do a picnic breakfast. The dinner we had at Leels was perfect, we could not be more impressed. 10/10 stay

Wow. Absolutely blown away. Upon arrival we just looked at each other in disbelief! The gardens and grounds have many different pathways and areas to explore, with stunning views from every angle. Completely surrounded by nature, we watched monkeys, birds, squirrels etc play in the trees. Photos do not do this place justice- the landscape is too vast to fit into a photo! Even though they don’t currently advertise as catering for vegans, we were very well taken care of and they adapted the menu to accommodate many sensational meals. The workers are so friendly and always took care of us. They also gave us a free Tuk Tuk ride to/from the rainforest for a hike, and also a ride to the local waterfall (which is nicer to walk back from but the offer was there for a lift back). Felt very rejuvenated recovering from jet lag here at the beginning of our trip- didn’t realise till we left and went to other locations just how relaxed and easy we were there!

This was fantastic accommodation. Run by Anju and his family. The photos don’t do it justice - it’s way nicer, more modern. The bed is comfortable, I loved the shower with skyview and the net in front of the cottage to relax. We also took the safari day trip arranged by Anju with safari guide Patum and it was just perfect. We got a lovely breakfast inside the park and in the afternoon also lunch. During the tour there was always cold water and we got coconut to drink. And we saw plenty of elephants, buffalos, lizzards, deers, two kinds of monkeys, birds and much more! In the end, Anju arranged taxi driver to our next destination. Totally recommended!!

The beds were comfortable and the shower hot and powerful but what really makes this place special is the amazing family that runs it. Everyone was so lovely and they helped us organise a safari in the nearby Udawalawe National Park where we got to see loads of elephants, water buffalos and countless species of birds. Our driver was super nice, knowledgeable and spoke great English. If you have time, we highly recommend you also join in with one of their cooking classes and learn how to cook traditional SriLanken dishes. So delicious!
