We couldn’t recommend it more, this is the best stay we’ve had so far in Sri Lanka and the most affordable too. The cabins are super clean, spacious, amazing AC, aesthetically designed. Sandeep himself is a gem, he helped us organize two taxis and our Udawalawe safari which was private and we saw 30+ elephants! The food is also lovely and Sandeep was kind enough to make me gluten free food.

Set in Udawalawe, 12 km from Udawalawe National Park, Leel’s Safari Cottage offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 3-star hotel offers room service, dry cleaning services and free WiFi. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We absolutely loved staying at Leel's cottage. The welcome by him and his wife was super nice, and the garden on their property looks like the garden of Eden! Especially the walkway to the cottage - WOW! And we were so pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the cottage. It was super clean and nice and the bed very comfortable. And then best of all was Leel. He took us on a 6-hour safari and he was such a great guide. He was very knowledgeable, showing us even the smaller animals that we couldn't see. And we saw so many elephants with him! We also got to talk to him after dinner, and the kind and interesting discussions are some of my favorite memories of our whole trip. If you're looking for where to stay in the area, I would highly recommend Leel's place.

Jansen’s Bungalow Sinharaja Rainforest Retreat has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Kudawe. Among the facilities at this property are room service and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The resort features family rooms. The lodge itself is amazing, really stylish, with an incredible swimming pool, and matches perfect with the wild forest. But for us the best of this place is the team. We stayed there during Ditwah cyclone, and Lasith, Amal, Hansen and all team without exception were incredible. We could stay one more night safe and they did their best to help us in everything and informing about the sad situation the island was living constantly. We could leave the hotel without problem the day after and return home safe. There are many amazing lodges in the world, this is one for sure, but what really makes an stay unforgetable is when you have a problem and the hotel team helps you to solve it with efficiency and a big smile. Jansens' lodge is the place. We would like to say Thank You once to all of you again and for sure we will come back to see you again and stay in this lovely lodge

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The cottage is nice and beautiful. The owner er very nice and kind - he also offers safari tours in a jeep. He knows a lot about the animals and REALLY puts an effort in to it. The food is delicious and huge portions. You can see animals in the garden, sometimes monkeys and leguana. :-) I would recommend to take a/c room.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Very pleased, neat houses, good bed. There were so many choices for a place to stay for a safari but this one is the perfect one! Their safari was amazing. really recommended
