Both cabins are very neat and clean and cozy with charming views on the lake. Dinner and breakfast were delightful. What makes it special is a fact that you can rent bikes and explore Polonnaruwa by yourself (or with the great host). There are many monkeys, birds and cows around. We slept like babies, no mosquitos.

It’s very affordable and the location is right next to the ancient city. You can get a bicycle to get around. The food is amazing, the wife of the host is a truly amazing chef. Every night we would go for a little wild life walk, free of charge! He also helped me to arrange a safari tour, which was very affordable; I was by myself and I paid the entrance fee and I had a my own driver/guide and in total I did not spend more than €75,-!! I would recommend everyone going here!

Hotel features a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. Guests can enjoy meals at the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had a good stay. Unfortunately, it rained the afternoon I was there so didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but it looked great and well kept.
