The host Shameera is such a great and wonderful guy. The villa is located in a very green garden with a lot of space around the building. You can sit on the veranda and look for hours only in the garden and you will see real nature with different flowers, trees, animals etc. It was so relaxing!! :-) The breakfast is served by the host every morning on the veranda outside and it contains day by day different local specialties with a wonderful taste. Also his hints, what to to in the surroundings and possible activities are great and useful. Thank you once again for hosting us in your small escape from normal life, Shameera. Where should I start.. this place was just amazing! Very warm, welcoming hosts and staff. Beautiful big, clean rooms with great bathrooms. They thought of everything: Conditioner, Blow drier, Mosquito net, Coffee, Tea, Water, Cups, Fridge. Really great! The pool has a sunsail over it so you can stay in the pool without getting a sunburn. :) The full body massage was simply amazing too - just next to the ocean with the nice sound of the waves. It said it would be 40min, but it was longer than an hour. They made it possible to get the massage last minute. We could recommend this place to everyone 100%. Thanks a lot for the great stay! ☺️

Outstanding beachside resort to cap off our Sri Lanka visit. Very well kept and beautiful property with excellent food and extremely friendly and courteous staff. Large well appointed room and spacious luxurious bathroom. Mr. Laksiri, as the manager was always present to ensure high quality along with young and capable front desk staff including Ashen. Mr. Pradeep made sure all housekeeping needs were satisfied. The pool man (forgot his name) became a friend. And, Chef Lalith was the star for us with his Michelin-caliber clean kitchen, prompt staff, and food that will make us come back for sure. Having stayed in numerous places around the world, this one really touched our hearts and easily became a home for 4 days. Thanks to all.

Even though Sri Lanka faced some bad weather recently, the southern region was very safe and less affected including this villa. So, future guests don’t have anything to worry about. Everything is completely normal here. The villa itself is extremely comfortable, peaceful, and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind, caring, and always ready to help. I truly appreciate their warm hospitality throughout my stay. The food was amazing fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. I also did an Ayurveda treatment, which was relaxing and professionally done. It added so much value to my stay. Overall, I had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Bentota. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special!

The villa itself is breathtaking — glass walls all around, giving the feeling of being in a treehouse suspended in the mist. Sunrise feels magical. The food was exceptional — fresh, natural, and made with love. We mostly chose the local dishes — kiribath served with caramelized onion, homemade salmon(red curry), laveriya, herbal porridge and fresh fruits. Their western cuisine was equally wonderful. No added sugar or artificial flavors and the beautiful presentation made every meal memorable. Mouthwatering lunch wrapped in banana leaves and evening tea with helapa added that special Sri Lankan warmth. The villa was spotless — truly the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. The owner’s hospitality was beyond comparison, making us feel like family. My daughter loved the short forest hike nearby, and the peaceful surroundings made it so hard to leave. Manarala Villa is pure serenity — a 7-star escape where nature, comfort, and care blend perfectly. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

The whole villa has a stunning design and is very modern, it’s of outstanding quality, and extremely clean. The walk in showers are amazing, the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area are all beautifully designed. The villa is decorated to perfection, with Sri Lankan furniture and beautiful Sri Lankan paintings. You get the entire apartment on the top floor to yourself, and there is a private entrance to the top villa and a kitchen area. This villa is very private and has a lovely swimming pool in the garden. Rosa and her daughter Zara runs this property and they are wonderful, very hospitable people, they speak English and German fluently. The breakfast was delicious, with so many different combinations of Sri Lankan and continental with plenty of fresh fruits. The location is very nice and quiet, and in walking distance to the beach. Aluthgama is just up the road and has plenty of shops, restaurants, banks/ATM a good train station, and buses that run past every 10 minute. You will also love Billy the dog, he’s such a friendly dog and a big part of Sunny Villa. I highly recommend this property it’s very good value for money.
