The accommodation features luggage storage space and a housekeeping service for guests. Very kind people running the ryokan. I accidently left an umbrella that I borrowed from them at the nearby store, and the lady said don't worry about it and that she'll get it. It was very genuine. Was only a few other people staying at the time I was there, so it was very quiet. And the bathhouse was a very relaxing and unique experience. Many amenities are surprisingly provided as well, and as soon as I checked in the gentleman provided me hot tea. Was very good value for the money... I just wish there was more to do in Takaoka, but there's some decent day trips you can take from there. Would without a doubt stay there again if I went to Takaoka.

The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.

Located in Toyama, the recently renovated Guesthouse KEN offers accommodation 3 km from Toyama Station and 11 km from Toyama-kō. This apartment provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.5 km from Minami-Toyama Station. The owner waited to receive my family arrival. Excellent hospitality. Communication with the Japanese owner not a problem as he could speak good English. Within the unit, cleanliness in tip-top condition. The living room with a very comfortable sofa, huge dinning table sufficient for 6 pax use, nicely sized shower room, etc. Everything within the unit looks newly furnished and in excellent condition. Beddings are very comfortable, perfect for good rest. Air conditioning keeping the unit in comfortable temperature. Supermarket and F&B establishments are just a few minutes drive away. Surrounding environment is peaceful and terrific. This place has been the best my family ever stayed among the many overseas trips our family had. Owner even popped by to say Good Bye despite our family leaving the unit in early hours in the morning. Highly recommended.
