The bed was the most comfortable bed that we slept in while in Japan. A bit pricey, but absolutely amazing. Wish we had stayed longer.

The outdoor swimming pool is beautiful, large enough for a little swim, with views right on the seaside and the celebrated local pine grove. You can easily go from beach to swimming pool. We were well received and kindly upgraded to a huge, luxurious room; every comfort you can think of was there. The circulation from bedroom to onsen to swimming pool can be complex, but we were given an English language map that greatly helped. This was our second stay in Karatsu, and we'd love to come back and stay in Karatsu Seaside Hotel another time !

This guest house provides a shared lounge. The owner was super kind and friendly. We loved the place. The private room and shared spaces were cozy. There was a bath tab. It was quiet at night. The location was 30min walk from Arita Station, but there is a bus stop near the guesthouse. There are many pottery shops and is a shrine with Torii made by Arita ceramics within a walkable distance.
