Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

Ask for dinner recommendation, and follow the advice! Do not miss the Kannawa steam bath, 5mins on foot. Parking easy, just come downhill by car, easier access that way.

Room was super clean and modern and felt very luxurious. Free beer in the lobby was awesome. Good location close to everything in Kannawa. On-site onsens were really nice. Staff was great.

The hosts were extremely generous and thoughtful, the place itself was amazing. It can be easily reached without a car, while still feel like an entirely different area than the touristy area, as you hear the nearby stream, and feel the japanese village vibes, without being far from everything yufuin onsens has to offer. My wife and I were so amazed that it made us change our plans! If you're in the Yufuin onsen area we definitely recommend sleeping here
