This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

The atmosphere was really cosy and welcoming, it was great to have a common lounge to relax and 2 individual bathhouses for utilisation. There are some beverages and access to microwaves, oven, hot water flask in the lounge. Also, it is great that it had a small children section with suitable furniture. You can ask for the shuttle to a nearby restaurant but you will need to make your own way back. The bed and breakfast owner's family are staying in-house. So the owner is always readily available when called.

Incredible house with traditional Japanese interior, the host Hiro-san was the best, so nice and helpful, gave us lifts to the station, prepared a hot bath for us, such an amazing host So tranquil up in Nikko

We were in the private room, which was very nicely furnished and had everything you need. It had functional lamps with different light settings, a wide wardrobe with space for luggages, and multiple plugs for charging devices. The beds were SO comfy and the duvet was so fluffy it felt like being in a cloud. The guesthouse had everything you need, in the kitchen there is equipment to cook and the owner has thought about every small detail about what you may possibly need! The shared toilet and showers were very clean. Location wise it is only 1 stop away from the main Nikko center, so in 10 min you arrive to Tobu Nikko station from where you can start exploring the UNESCO site or take busses to natural excursions. I would totally recommend!

It was a wonderful experience over there. The land lady picked us up fron Tobu station and was really friendly and guide us which places we should visit. We were amazed by the wooden work of the the cottage.
