Ryokan is perfectly located, just next to the temple. The staff are welcoming and kind, helping with many things you didn't knew you needed help with. Food is delicious and atmosphere in Ryokan let's you feel like in Japan from the movies. Initially I thought it was pricey, however after the stay I'm disappointed of myself that I didn't book it for longer.

This place is surprisingly good, it has a great location Goryu Escal plaza within walkable distance (appr. 6mins). And Goryu is the only one resort which has the night operation hours, so take advantage of that. Plenty of food options near the lodge. I was traveling alone and I had my good dining every night, get some local foods and beers what a great combination! Speaking of combo, this place has two Onsen (Hot tub) one private with little of extra charge and one public. It’s just a wonderful thing to do after days and days of skiing or snowboarding. For those who didn’t drive you should be fine as said this place has great location so you will be able to get back in multiple ways. Akira, the owner of this lodge and a skater from Tokyo, was being super helpful and informative to every of his guests, his crew members were very friendly it’s just a home place to stay at. They pick you up and drop you off at the nearest bus/train stop. They provide traffic information, map handouts, and discount tickets. Thanks to this place gave me the most impressive experience during my first visit in Japan. Arigato！

Had a great stay with Elia and Yurie! They also picked me up and brought me from the train station. The house is a traditional Showa era home with beautiful tatami flooring. They also gave me some great recommendations for places in Matsumoto. If you need to recharge this is a great place. This hotel is located in a beautiful location close to the start of the Tateyama Alpine trail. 30 mins by car. The owner is a really sweet and considerate gentleman. We had dinner in the restaurant. Nice curry dishes. The room was comfortable with an impeccably clean ensuite bathroom. We stayed in a twin room and the beds were really comfortable. I will definitely stay again in the future.

They brought us bento boxes each day and graciously offered to give us rides to the train station on each day of our stay. The place is wonderful, has everything I could ask for right from laundry to a jacuzzi. Loved every bit of our stay and definitely coming back again

Magome Wakihonjin Museum is 15 km away and Toson Memorial Museum is 16 km from the luxury tent. Really convenient location for those hiking the Nakasendo trail. I didn't realize it at the time of booking, but the trail runs right through the campground. We had a lot of fun cooking dinner and breakfast. The setup makes it really convenient to just do the fun parts of cooking, and cleanup is really easy as well in the main lodge. The tents are very spacious and have heaters incase it gets cold at night. Additionally, our tent had a great view which overlooked the valley and mountains.
