Breakfast was amazing. Onsen, was really nice as well, both men and women. Room was quite big for Japan. 6min walk from the train station! I will for sure recommend and return when possible. View from our room was also great and the sound isolation is very good.

We loved the views from the room and shared spaces as the house is next to the forest. Akira is an awesome host. Even though we stayed here during green (and rainy) season, he gave us lots of recommendations of things to do around the area. He speaks English fluently so communication was very easy. Can’t recommend enough!

And shower, toilet and sinks are separate, which is good. Vibe is nice, people lives in the same hostel will always gather around the fireplace and share their day or their culture.

He was thoughtful to drop us to the Shinano-Matsukawa station that the waiting area was warmer & was in town. Guest rooms were on the 2nd floor of a Curry Restaurant. Atsu helped carrying the suitcase up to the room & brought us furniture that we needed. He was also the chef of the restaurant. The food was yummy. We highly recommended this

We ordered dinner, and breakfast and both were yummy and very generous sizes.
