The villa is newly refurbished and very beautiful. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. All the amenities we need are in the room. We had a great stay there and will definitely be back when we are next in town.

Borgo Paradiso is located on a rather steep hill and allows a spectacular view over the roofs of Maccagno to Lago Maggiore. Our guest house was more than 100 years old, but nicely renovated. Our 2 rooms were on each side of a fully equipped kitchen with access to a balcony. The rooms had a good size, a wooden ceiling, and very comfortable beds. The bathroom had a good size and even a window! Our host Charlene spoke excellent English and was extremely nice and helpful. She offered us a gift of blueberry jam and honey and a coupon for free ice cream in the village. She also sent us advice for restaurants and which sights to see at Maccagno. Also the farmer who brought the breakfast (with fresh bread, cake, cheese and prosciutto) was very nice and made us feel welcome.

Breakfast was excellent served on the terrace with panoramic views. The villa is beautiful and nicely decorated and renovated with original furniture fitting the style of the building. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. Simply, an unique place. The owner Barbara was kind and helpful.
