We had some issues with getting into the room, reservation etc, and everything was solved so smooth, they answered instantly. The room had fantastic facilities, even en-suite fridge, great bathroom, nice terrace. SUPER quiet. Hottubs were a big plus! Also, the common kitchen... just overall 10/10.

The location was great and very easy easy to find. Very central in Akureyri and just a 5 minute drive from the airport. There was ample parking and guest laundry facilities were free and available on site. The bed was so comfortable and the space was great. A large bathroom with walk in shower, great WiFi and smart TV, fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer and all the pots and pans you need to cook as you might do at home. Communication was easy and any questions were quickly answered by Margrét. All in all there was nothing to fault about the stay and I would certainly make it my first choice to go back to.

This hotel was excellent in every aspect: from check-in, to the room itself, to our meals at the restaurant, we were all around satisfied. It appears as if the Fosshotel chain has hit on a magic formula for travelers in Iceland. Our waitress in the evenings was simply excellent.

The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. All rooms at Guesthouse Vogafjos have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. Absolutely loved this place but due to our schedule we needed to leave early the next day so couldn't enjoy breakfast there. The restaurant was exceptional - the service, ambiance and food were a very high standard. With the added bonus of going into the Cowshed to meet the calves and cows! Plus we got to see the Aurora in this location just topped off a fabulous but too short stay! We will definitely be back to enjoy more of what the area has to offer.

Bunos that there's a laundry ( both washer & dryer) available. Our room was spacious & clean. Whole house was clean. Such a shame we were only there for 1 night. Would've loved to enjoy more of the view whilst having a meal. Hopefully we can come back again.
