It was 10 times the value of a hotel or the like in the area. It was -15 outside and we were toasty in the yurt. The beds were the best I slept on in the country. The breakfast was good and checked all the boxes. I selfishly wanted more omelets/waffle hot bar options, but the breakfast was beyond good, and this was one of very few places that actually included breakfast with the hotel, so I will give their breakfast a 10/10 as well. Location was perfect too for both Aurora Viewing (we saw a massive aurora on 11/22/24) and we were right next to Geysir and waterfalls. We could see the glacier from the front porch. Very private yurts too! My pictures are of the aurora we saw from the front door of the Yurt. You can easily see them from these. I also included an indoor picture and one of the grounds.

The place is just amazing. A beautiful house in a surrounded by trees. Fully equipped kitchen. Families were cooking dinner as if they were in their home. Buffet breakfast was simple but delicious! We wish we could stay for more than just one night!

Guesthouse Bitra B&B’s simple rooms have either private or shared bathroom facilities. They provide views of Mount Hekla or the surrounding countryside. It's a warm, welcoming and very clean place. The room was very cozy and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and with a lot of options. I really recommend this place.

The living room has a stunning panoramic view — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee with the sunshine ☀️ The Wi-Fi is super fast, too. It was also really thoughtful that the hosts provided shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover wipes, and even some feminine products — such a nice touch! There’s also a hot tub with warm water, which was a great bonus after a day of exploring.
