It had all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel. The views out our room of the golf course were lovely. The included breakfast was a typical European buffet with all the variety you would expect. The hotel is not really near anything, so you are going there to enjoy that property. And there is much to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed there longer.

The Cabra Castle Hotel was built in 1760 and has high ceilings, grand staircases and historic hallways. This property really opens the doors to yesterdays world, I love the way you can sit in the royal rooms and experience the castle as if you were a resident there, it’s truly a unique experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for romantic weekend away.

The host, Pauline, was super nice and very well organised. She gave us good advice regarding events happening in the town. The owners are aiming to make their service as sustainable as possible. Breakfast was made to perfection from local produce. We also had a chance to purchase jam from a local producer. The lodge and vicinity is very quiet.
