Good location. We caught the Flixibus from Spiit to Markarska bus station and walked about 15 minutes. Good breakfast. Good variety of fruits, nuts, yogurts as well as hot options. Clean rooms. Lovely views. A downhill walk to the bars and restaurants. Would stay here again if we go to Makarska again. It was a shame we didn't get chance to use the pool as it looked lovely but it was a bit cloudy and windy on the days we stopped here. Did not spoil our stay though.

Family Resort Urania consists of a central building featuring a reception area, beach bar, self-service restaurant and a holiday club. Around this, are arranged the bungalows and apartments. Once we moved to a premium apartment everything was heavenly, staff was amazing, food was good, the apartment was clean and comfortable with beautiful views to the sea that by the way this resort has the BEST beach in the whole area (including the islands), in general the location is great, near bars and restaurants, the marina and lots of shops nearby. the playground and the softplay next to the restaurant were so well used and approved by my kids. I am definitely coming back with my family again! The reception staff are so kind and professional, and they gave us a box of local biscuits as a goodbye present.

Completely refurbished in 2016 and located in a heritage building in the centre of Baška Voda, Grand Hotel Slavia offers a restaurant and a wellness centre. Free WiFi access is provided in all areas, while the nearest beach is only 50 metres away. everything was SO great!! clean, location=perfection, the staff is always friendly, polite and helpful. they also let you take a shower in their spa center at the end of the day if you checked out earlier but had to wait for your bus or something and spent the day at the beach, which i haven’t seen anywhere else before so that was a surprising pleasant touch to the whole trip!! thank you for everything!!

Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!
