The owners of this very nice and clean posada will give you the warmest welcome, they have a colourfull garden (with somesurprises!) en house and you stay directly at the water. You will have a little balcony, as well as a kitchen and free filtered water. The room itself can be a bit noisy with sounds of neighbours. If this one is full, you can ask to stay at the posada of their familiy, also amazing, lakeview, clean and quiet! 2 mins walking. The stay at Alice was really nice - lovely garden and beautiful, clean dorms. The outdoor shower is a dream and you feel so close to the jungle around you. The lake for a swim is only a 5min walk away. Also the manager Dulce took great care of all guests - can highly recommend Alice for staying in El Remate!

What a wonderful stay we had. In the middle of a forest ("jungle" we may say), so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Quite luxurious speedboat transferring us from Flores and back. Good kitchen and first of all excellent staff, so helpful and with unusual friendly attitude. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone, who wants to feel one of the best possible vibes.

Beautiful hotel. Brilliant, faultless service. Fabulous Rooms with private hot tubs overlooking the lake. Food not amazing, but above average. The french toast was fantastic at breakfast. Incredible setting in the jungle. The little museum is fascinating. The included Monkey tour was a highlight and should not be missed!

Lovely and clean, new renovations and USB plugs even. Spacious and although shared toilet, only 1 other room there. Perfect location for ferry (car and person) to and from Flores (advise this is driving rather than the road in and only costs £3 (Q30). Hosts are lovely and so helpful ensuring you are treated like a local. Rooms are spacious and airy and the fan is sufficient to keep you cool as minimal windows.
