It is central in Newtonmore, extremely well presented inside to a very high standard. Lovely colour coordinated rooms. Our bedroom, bathroom and shower was immaculate.Very cosy and safe feeling. The breakfast was excellent, very good quality food. The young lady who cooked our food was very friendly and professional and a good host. We HIGHLY recommend this guesthouse.

With free private parking, the property is 43 km from Balmoral Castle and 16 km from Corgarff Castle. Outdoor furniture is available for guests to relax or dine outside. I'm generally not a person that stays in small huts like this, but I was positively surprised by this one. It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!

Good bed, great decor, v easy to access, great position - we walked into town and bought fish and chips. Room spacious and clean. Everything you could ask really.

All the info was very easily laid out and the house was super clean. The wood stove was all set up for us upon arrival and worked very well. Hot tub was incredible after a long day of hiking in the Cairmgorns and was very easy to use singlehandedly. Kitchen was well stocked.

Craggan is not like other B&B's, or any other accommodations for that matter. Martyn and Louise are the most relaxed and warmest of hosts, yet they work so hard to deliver for their guests. They have created a beautiful, luxurious, and unique property that delivers a very personal experience. My partner and I stayed in the Balmain Room. Every detail had been thought of; two pieces of lemon drizzle cake in the room as a welcome was a lovely touch. The room is beauitfully appointed, very spacious with views on the beautiful grounds that surround the house, and it's own separate entrance (only the Balmain room has this I think) The bed is huge and super comfortable, we slept so well. The bathroom is also spacious and luxurious. Breakfast is made to order each morning, in addition to a breakfast buffet that you can help yourself to. Louise bakes all the cakes herself and they are superb. This is a stay I will always remember.

Perfect spot in a great location, and well put together with thoughtful touches. The host, Dorothy, met on us on arrival and was exceptionally kind and friendly, with several recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the living room was very cozy. Highly recommend!
