Pascal and his team have made our trip to Le Thor one we will never forget. What a great host and absolutely the prime location if you want to experience the countryside of France. The rooms are huge and cozy, they feel like royalty rooms. The breakfast included was amazing: fruits, yogurt, bread, etc. Definitely worth it to pay extra for the spa - it just adds so much to the overall experience. Lastly, Pascal made sure we had the best stay - we didn’t have a car so he helped arrange for our cabs and restaurants. We feel very nostalgic looking back at our stay. If there is an accommodation that has set a high standard for us - it is Les Carmes. <3

This campsite is set on the river bank, located in the village of Castellane, within a 5-minute drive of the Verdon Gorge. Free WiFi is provided in public areas and the property has a table tennis table as well as a boules pitch.

The centre of Castellane is 2.3 km from the campsite and the city of Grasse is 65 km away. It is the starting point of the GR4 hiking path and there is a free, private parking available on site. The campsite is located in a beautiful, scenic area and has a very peaceful atmosphere. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming — they even offered us a more spacious room, which we really appreciated. The grounds are well-maintained and full of charm, and the pool is absolutely lovely — perfect for cooling off after a hot day. We only stayed for one night, but truly wished we could have stayed longer!

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BOOK IT Terrific quiet but convenient location. Beach and restaurants just minutes away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked for two nights but extended for another two nights it was so comfortable.

Absolutely will book again for the next trip to Marseille!
