The breakfast is a must too, natural yogurt with muesli and frutto del Bosco! This place was one of my favourites on the Camino!

Wonderful hosts. introduced us to their family and when we mentioned we were going on to Santander the next day, they insisted on driving us to show us a short cut to the motorway. Undoubtedly saved us over half an hour on our journey. Room was clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend.

The Iglesia de Santa Columba is within 48 km of the country house. In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. Very conveniently placed for our journey. Very easy to use. The local village dogs were very friendly.

Casa Tia Paula features traditional Castilian design and modern décor. Each apartment has a living room with a sofa and a flat-screen TV. The kitchenette includes a microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker and a hob. What a lovely apartment, so cosy and welcoming, the most comfortable huge bed. It was immaculate. Excellent communication, nothing was a problem. Lovely and quiet location. Great ambiance in the town, the people very friendly and helpful. Would like to have stayed for longer.

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Casas Rurales El Mayorazgo is a country house situated in a historic building in Cordovilla de Aguilar, 38 km from Iglesia de Santa Columba. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the country house free of charge. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. This was by far the best accommodation I rented during my visit to Spain. It is a very special place, dating from 1600, thick stone walls, huge wooden beamed ceilings. The owners met us at the property and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Its location near the Montaña Palentinas is excellent, with easy driving to fantastic mountain hiking. I would highly recommend this property.
