We met Mountain Guide Mustafa, one of the proprietors. Coolest dude ever. He has heck of a life story to tell. Casa Marisa is rustic and Perfect considering the wild location. It is not easy to build on hardened lava. I absolutely recommend staying at Casa Marisa. Awesome Place! And try climbing Pico do Fogo, or the other easier hikes. Or the myriad other activities offered.

Garden is so pretty and well maintained. The owner took really good care of us and I could see all guests were well taken care of. She arranged our guide, picnics for the hike and was super responsive and nice.

The location in booking is (as of today) not correct, its right in the center of the village. But the owners are superfriendly and can send you the details via WhatsApp. I arrived late because I was hiking till sunset and he waited outside on the street, and after check in I got a really delicious meal. The room has 3 comfy beds, enough plugs to charge and extra blankets. The bathroom is modern and has a shower (unlucky only with cold water). In the main building there are tables and chairs and a small bar. There is beer, wine, softdrinks, water.... Everything is clean and the WiFi works great. Breakfast is included, but I didn't use it as I was out hiking. From the house you have perfect views of Fogo. I can really recommend this place.

We enjoyed the remote location right at the ocean front. The meals were very delicious and all prepared fresh. We had a great stay and enjoyed every minute of it!

The place was perfect for us: great location, wonderfull view on the caldeira and on the volcano, quality of the staff, size of the room, good food made by them. They have done everything to feel at home. Take time to discuss with Adriano, he has many stories to tell you about the caldeira and about Fogo.
