Playa del Ritmo is 8 km from Santa Marta’s historic centre and a 10-minute drive from Simon Bolivar airport. Free private parking is possible on site. I LOVED this hostel, the beach was great without any waves, not a lot of people, very calm water. The breakfast was delish, the food and drinks sold at the bar were very good, a bit pricey but not too bad. I will stay here everytime I visit Santa Marta. Do keep in mind that it's like 15/20 min drive to the center of Santa Marta, but taxis are cheap.

Each accommodation at the 4-star hotel has mountain views and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 35 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!
