Solo traveler; the Masaya team does a great job w activities, chill music, places to be solo and place to be w others, communal later dinners, and just very cheerful folks who take care of the lodge, the food, and the folks to a recognizable degree. Amazing hostel on the beach, Carolina was great and helped me enter the room at 1pm (Gabriela didn't allow me even though hostel was almost empty, but that's fine, you can leave your bags at reception and chill on the beach). Great wifi, delicious food at their restaurant, cool vibes. Lot of options to reserve, I stayed in dorm of 4 beds, good AC and both nights ended up alone in the room. Kind staff, very clean, good beach- almost no waves(explore on the right, over the rocks - there is a private beach for you). Will definitely come back!

Each accommodation at the 4-star hotel has mountain views and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 35 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. We arrived late afternoon which meant our room was ready straight away. The hotel were helpful in advance letting us of the park entrance ticket booth closing time which meant we arrived before closing time (5pm). The hotel is beautiful, the views are fantastic and the sky was clear both nights we were there which meant we could stargaze from our terrace. It was super quiet and peaceful. Right by one of the main entrances to the park, easy to find and very easy to start our hike into the park early in the morning. They have a pingpong table and board games in the dining room which were fun to play in the evenings too. We will be back!
