It was a good choise. The hotel is in a very good location, walking distance from the old town, and there are a lot of bus and tram stations nearby (to get to the airport was very easy). The staff is very nice. We were celebrating a birthday in Basel, so we got an upgraded room and were invited to have champagne at the bar. The hotel very clear and pleasant. The bed was very confortable. There were fress fruits and lemonade free at the reception every day. The breakfast was delicious and varied.

The staff were exceptional, always greeting us with a smile and being incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the cocktails were perfect, and the breakfast, cakes, and other treats were outstanding. Our room was extremely comfortable and very quiet. Every piece of furniture and every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered and was in perfect condition. They provided robes, slippers, shoehorns, an umbrella, and more. The welcome treats included fresh fruit, chocolates, and a little Eurovision-themed cake. In the evenings, they tidied the room for turndown service, closed the curtains, and neatly arranged our belongings. The corridors were carpeted with a thick central runner, which meant we never heard anyone passing by, even though the hotel was fully booked. We were also given a jar of hotel jam to take away with us and we can't wait to try it. If you’re considering this hotel and can afford the price tag, you will not be disappointed. Book it.
