Situated in Nelly Bay, just 50 metres from the beach, Island Leisure Resort offers self-contained bungalows with a flat-screen TV. The property also features a swimming pool and tennis court. Free WiFi is available in public areas, and on-site parking is provided. Staff friendly & couldn't have been more helpful with information about the Island, bus timetables etc. Also booked the sunset cruise for us. This place has a real resort feeling to it and we wish we could have stayed longer. Bus stop is a 2 minute walk away, and using the local bus is a cheap & easy way to travel between the bays.

The tour desk can book fishing and sailing trips around the island. The resort also features laundry facilities, car rental and a safety deposit box. Free parking is available on site. This was a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the esplanade that has a few restaurants, a pub, a cafe, a brewery and a gorgeous beach with a jetty to fish off (or just watch the world go by) and a swimming net. Picnic Bay is a quite spot on the island but the busses run frequently and on time to get you anywhere else on the island if you want to explore. The man on reception was so friendly with a no fuss check in and super informative about anything we needed to know. The accommodation is small but absolutely spotless. Paths and gardens were clean and maintained, the pool was sparkling, the outdoor bbq area super clean and spacious and the rooms were just perfect, actually better than the photos. They had everything we needed for our night stay, we would definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time.
