They provided a delicious multi-course, traditional meal with very short notice on my day of arrival. The bed was more comfortable that mine at home and the view from my room was incredible. Everything was a short walk away - restaurants, the bazaar, the castle. Note: It's important to be aware that it's a very hilly town and you will be walking up or down almost all the time. I saw many people with walking sticks - definitely a good idea if you are at all concerned.

Clean, comfortable rooms in a quiet location outside of the busiest tourist areas with good breakfast. Maradona and his family were great. They picked me up from the bus station, dropped me back off at the station when I left, and were available to take me (and other guests) to and from downtown, all free of charge. Maradona also helped me figure out the bus schedule to leave Gjirokaster. Dinner at the hotel restaurant is also tasty and very affordable (200 lek per dish).

Hotel Gjirokastër is located 300 metres from the centre, in a part of town famous for numerous museums. The hotel is surrounded by green gardens and large parks, while the building itself is made of traditional stone and wood. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided. The room was beautiful and in an excellent location. The breakfast was really good but the highlight was being made to feel part of the family. Warm friendly service and a big help with getting transport at 5.30 am 😊
