The airport transfer, even at 3 am, was smooth. Despite the late arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find a snack waiting for us, which was so thoughtful considering the late hour – a lovely touch. The next day, the hotel staff kindly offered us a different room when they noticed the initial one wasn't quite to our liking – a lovely gesture that really showed their attentiveness. We were also very happy with the excellent internet signal throughout our stay. It was a nice touch to have our water replenished daily in the room, along with some biscuits. The hotel itself was generally very peaceful and quiet, providing a truly relaxing atmosphere. We did notice that the hotel seemed to be quite empty during our visit. However, what truly stood out was the incredible attention, friendliness, and helpfulness of the staff. A special mention must go to Anita, the manager, who was exceptional, as well as Cecília, the supervisor, and the ever-cheerful Issa and Leonard, who were always so kind and attentive during our meals. We also had a wonderful interaction with Ismail, a gardener, who went above and beyond by climbing a coconut tree to get us fresh coconut water one afternoon – such a treat! On a particularly rainy day, the lovely manager Anita did everything she could to make the situation more enjoyable for us. We also really appreciated Leonard, the waiter, who took the initiative to note down our breakfast preferences and share them with his colleagues for the days he wasn't working, so we didn't have to repeat ourselves. The proximity of the beach and the pool was fantastic. And the massage I received from Janeth? Honestly, it was the best I've ever had. And believe me, I've had massages in Bali and Thailand, so that's saying something!

Nice and comfortable rooms with Seaview The manager tried his best to make it a great time. The breakfast was very good. The location is ok so far, if you want to walk around there is the beautiful beach but not much to see around the area apart the beach. The new years eve party and BBQ was very good and it has been a very fair price.

Absolutely amazing hotel - can't fault anything. The food is incredible - varied and fresh. The rooms are designed perfectly, highly recommend the beachfront - waking up to that view and sound of waves every morning was a highlight. The pool is always clean and towels on all beds. Gym is great and mostly empty! Spa also great and incredible massages. All very reasonably priced - I'd love to go again!! Highly recommend!

The Staff are best in the area Andrea helping you with tours/ practicals & Suma in the restaurant with a bright smile always. The food is perfect with the most affordable prices, and quality in the area. The owner cares a lot about the guests helping in any way possible to offer best experience for the guests. We were offered cold ginger orange drinks coming to the hotel, and the check in and check out was fast and smooth. You can get Taxi service by contacting the Hotel in advance. You have access to one of the beatiful beaches in Zanzibar with sea view and marvelous sunrise+sunsets. Its possible to take walk along the long beach of Uroa. To those who are checking the comments section before booking Ycona, just book your villa there, that will be your best choice ever :) We stayed 3 days there and everything was perfect. The luxury side of the hotel was present within every aspect, staff kindness, villa's decoration and comfort, food and restaurant services.. The staff also helped me to organize the proposal on the beach with a full package of bed decoration, romantic set up. at the beach and romantic dinner. Thank you to Roberto for giving us a visit of their spice farm which is wonderful and growing. Thank you to Marco for being available before our arrival And thank you to all the staff and the Maasai!
