Brown ( Father of Jay) is a fantastic host, who just loves to care for and pamper his guest. During booking we asked for the possibility of a simple meal because we we arriving in the evening - we got a (not small) selection of delicious local specialties - best we had in Tanzania. Airport transfer was flawless. Next morning (great breakfast!) he helped us a lot to get on the road again. If you arrange to be picked up FROM Baba Jay by some driver / Safari Operator, make sure to give them Browns number and that they don't mix it up with a similar named home stay. Its a nice residential neighborhood, that is very much alive in the morning or the evening, so be prepared for some noise. But in the middle of the night people still sleep. So dont worry too much :-)

The accommodation is exactly as the pictures. The host communicated effectively. She is a very kind lady. My booking was on the same day I arrived and yet the accommodation was ready! You don't see this often these days. The accommodation is in a nice neighborhood with various shops at restaurants. It is not far from the beach. Everywhere was clean and spotless. The WiFi was perfect. I had no issues at all. I hope to stay here again.

none. The facility is more of a BROTHEL than anything else. The apartment name is something like DONG XING. There was a drunk Chinese guy on the parking lot screaming and a skinny Tanzanian lady hovering all over him like a vulture hovering over a carcass and not helping a thing. Later the gentleman was dragged away to his apartment being followed by the lady.

The attendant Anne was a life saver. She was willing and able to do whatever necessary to make sure we were well and comfortable. She even had a table made just for me to work at. Exceptional care from her. Thank you Anne! Also, it was nice to be near Coco Beach. In addition the place has a swimming pool, free parking, air conditioning, a balcony, and a gym! I was only able to enjoy the free parking because of time, but still the environment is very pleasant. Also the security is high so we felt extremely safe.

We really appreciate that we could left our rented car in the parking lot of the hotel guarded for a reasonable fee while we were 2 days on a trip to Zanzibar. The location is perfect - in the centre, many shops around, and the most important for us - it is in the walking distance to the ferry to Zanzibar.
