Ours was just a short 1-night stay before taking the slow boat on the Mekong, but we really wished we could stay longer. The hotel is in a beautiful location, quiet but just a short tuk-tuk ride from the town centre, and from the rooms you can admire the amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The rooms are big, stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you might need. We also had dinner and breakfast there, and in both cases it was freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, an all-round 5* experience.

Jan 2023, elderly couple, 1 night. It is very close to the friendship bridge/Lao border on the Thai side and the nice host picks you up there and brings you to the bus. We used the day there to plan our upcoming 5 weeks in Thailand and enjoyed the relaxed and quiet place, the attached restaurant and the heartwarming friendly hostfamily. The little bungalows are quite new and clean. You can take bikes for the nearer places, no motorbike to rent. Town estimated 10km away. So you sit within fields and kautschuk trees in the nowhere. Was very nice. And recommended for time off etc.

Warin’s house is located in a small village in Wiang Kaen. It’s a cozy, quiet home built by the village, surrounded by nature, with a stunning view overlooking the Mekong River. We had a lovely night there—wish we could have stayed longer! Warin was incredibly kind and helped us arrange the slow boat to Luang Prabang, which made us feel so warm and welcomed. Highly recommended!

The Breakfast was cooked by Jam the owner an Meow her friend and assistant, nothing was too much trouble, what ever type of food you asked for Jam tried her best to provide it was always freshly cooked in front of you eyes, The Hotel wasn't over crowded and the pool was a lovely size and was lovely and clean as was the room, there was a supermarket at the end of the road and a lovely promenade to walk into town by the stunning Mekong River. also plenty of opportunity for excursions. Also John was there to have a friendly chat over a cool beer.
