I don't do reviews. But Camelia (sp?) who runs this gets an 11 for lovely food, unbelievable clenliness and friendliness.

We recently spent two nights at RoVillage in the Apuseni Mountains and had a truly unforgettable experience. The location is remote and peaceful—perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature. The traditional Romanian houses are beautifully restored and full of charm, offering both comfort and authenticity. One of the highlights of our stay was the connection to the land and local lifestyle. The hosts raise goats, cows, chickens, and pigs, and also tend to a lovely vegetable garden. Most of the food served is produced right there on the property, and it really shows—everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Each meal felt like a celebration of local flavors and traditions. The hosts themselves were wonderful—warm, welcoming, and eager to share their way of life. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, tradition, and good food, we highly recommend RoVillage. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This is a little out the way to get to, but really enjoyed staying with Maria. She keeps a few different animals so i was able to taste fresh milk and cheese. Maria is very hospitable and was sweet with me , getting up extra early to get me a coffee before the bus left, Accommodation is good value with ensuite bath room all spotlessly clean
