Loved the space- there were 8 in our group and we had lovely rooms with plenty of other spaces to relax. We made great use of the snooker table. Great location despite all the steps. Helena and her daughter were amazing- so kind and helpful We stayed two nights and enjoyed a very generous breakfast on both mornings

Fantastic setting only minutes walk to historic center of town and shops, bars, restaurants. The pool was inaugurated only months ago and it was heavenly to sit by the patio and swim, wine/dine and enjoy the Duero views. The hosts were lovely, responsive and always ready to guide you on anything. They were incredible and prepare a lovely home-style breakfast. Thank you, obrigado and merci!!!

Lovely little house with lots of thoughtful extras such as milk, water, butter, biscuits, cakes etc. Very good attention to detail - the hairdryer broke in the evening and the next day it was replaced. Very close to the river, boats, restaurants etc and just a short walk from the train staton.

The ancient house is situated within the vineyards. The house is already for 400 years in de family. Very friendly owner and staff. Breakfast was excellent (you could order any kind of eggs) and the bread was freshly baked. Dinner with wine pairings was top of the pudding! Nice swimming pool!

Absolutely everything was a 10/10. We were welcomed so kindly from the beginning - had a welcome drink with the most gorgeous autumn views over the Douro while the room was prepared. The room was beautiful, spacious and so comfortable, we wish we would’ve stayed for longer! To top it all off, we had the tasting menu for our evening meal and loved all the variations on Portuguese classics, incredible food in a gorgeous setting. And the breakfast was also perfection - a mix of buffet options with a varied menu of cooked dishes. Would absolutely return in the summer to enjoy the terraces and the pool and can recommend to anyone visiting the Douro.
