Waking up to panoramic views of the mountains and the sound of flowing water was the kind of peaceful moment I didn’t know I needed. What stood out most, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly welcoming — not just polite, but genuinely kind. They were always ready with a cup of chai, local stories, or travel tips that made exploring Skardu even more meaningful. The food? Deliciously homemade! Every meal felt personal — from freshly cooked parathas at breakfast to traditional Balti dishes for dinner. The best part was the villa’s location — close enough to explore famous spots like Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, and Shigar Fort, yet secluded enough to feel like your own private hideaway in the mountains. Thank you skardu saraye. * Yes, indeed a hidden gem and surprise in Skardu. We came with no expectations for acommodation in this town, but we were lucky enough to find this amazing family who are genuinely hospitable. There are 5 brothers that take care of it and they do it properly, in the true Pakistani spirit. The rooms are big and have everything you need, the breakfast is amazing (especially served outside), and they have free airport shuttle. Also, it's hidden from the noise and the fumes, but not that far from the city. I trully recommend. Specifically thankful to Owner MR Amjad.

Stunning views of the desert,Indus, late katpara & mountains. The owner Rashid is crafting a lovely place with local antiquities and he definitely has an eye & taste for unique design. We stayed in a two-storey suite with private balcony. Lovely food, relaxing breakfast room with a view as well and very very helpful and hospitable people working there. The whole place is very quiet, as there is no road around. If you're looking for busy bazar life, this is not your place. But if you come to see an amazing part of skardu from where you can get to all the places around and want to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains, you should come and stay at baltistan fort resort. Btw, resort could be misleading: it is a very cozy place with only a few rooms and a beautifully carved courtyard including cherry trees & flowers.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and loved my room, it was pleasant, spacious and clean. Location of the hotel is very good, not far from Skardu airport. Staff are very friendly. Ameer and his family made me feel at home. They were always very kind and helpful, they would go out of their way to help. Whenever I required transport Ameer would help, advise and arrange. I was picked from and dropped off to Skardu airport. The breakfast was served whenever I asked and was delicious.

Amazing experience, beautiful and clean rooms, well maintained property and the staff was really nice and helpful. Loved the architecture of the building, gave an experience of real culture. The best thing is it's right across the airport, and they provide free shuttle services.
