It’s hard to choose what I loved most about Spirit of the River Lodge, everything was truly wonderful. The location is magical and peaceful, with the sound of the river always in the background and barely any traffic passing by. We stayed twice, in two different rooms, and both were beautifully designed, cozy, and offered gorgeous views of the river. You can really feel how thoughtfully everything was created to respect and highlight the natural surroundings. The lodge has a sauna overlooking the river, direct access to the water, and a small yoga shala where I enjoyed my morning practice and reading. Claudia and Rudi were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. They made us feel like family. We had dinner one night and breakfast each morning, and even as vegans, we felt so well cared for. The food was amazing. They also have lovely animals, a llama named Tupac and two sweet dogs, Max and Juanita, who added so much joy to our stay. The area is relaxing but also well located, with easy access to nearby towns and cities. We came back twice because we truly fell in love with the place. I can’t recommend it enough!

The owners were like grandparents to our children - taking so much care to make them happy! Location close to the Moon temple is very nice, you can go for walks and horseback riding. We wanted to stay longer!

I liked everything: - the owners & the personnel are very kind & willing to help; - the apartment was like in the photos, very spacious and clean; - the breakfast was buffet type, very varied and delicious 🤤; - i didn’t feel for a moment unsecure in the neighborhood. Small modern hotel on a square about 10 minutes walk from the old town. The room was comfortable, and breakfast on the sixth floor (great views) was good. The hotel had secure underground parking for our motorbike with a lift. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Dani on the front desk. Oh, and joy of joys, there was a kettle in the room! All in all a very pleasant experience.

Centrally located hotel within walking distance of the main areas of Cusco. Older building complete with wood panels and creaky floorboards. Giant room and bed, which was nice. Small amount of off-street parking, but not secure.

We stayed here 22 October. The hosts were so helpful. The room clean. Lovely shower and bed. Balcony with amazing views. Kettle in room (rare in Peru) and great breakfast. Also as we had won car the underground parking was great. Highly recommend as only 15 minutes walk from main square .

We've had a lovely stay. The location is amazing, only a short walk away from Plaza Mayor. As we were travelling with our own car, the Kaaro house was one of the best possible accommodations, as they offer free parking inside their premises. The room was big and clean, with hot water and electric heater. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended, especially for people traveling with their own transportation! 👍👍👍
