Welcoming host, wonderful views and feeling of remoteness while being only 20 minutes away from Motueka and Abel Tasman! Room and bathroom were clean. We liked the very good kitchen and spaciuos shared space. We had no problems driving to the house with Suzuki Swift during good weather, but keep in mind that the driveway is steep. The location itself is on top of the hill of a very cool mountain pass. For me it was a bonus.

The House Truck itself is wonderfully quirky with lots of interessting details and features - especially the outdoor hottub. We spend an entire evening stargazing in it. Nat and Grant are great hosts. The breakfast was fabulous and we got lots of helpful information. In combination with the location in what felt like the middle of nowhere, it truly was like a whole nother world.

Everything was so clean, the water was beautiful, there were heaps of kitchen equipment. The hot tub out the back was absolutely incredible. They supplied some games, books and music. The owners were such genuinely lovely people who were very helpful and kind and made a beautiful breakfast. The alpacas were adorable and the views were to die for. It was fantastic value for money. We would recommend to everyone!

Absolutely lovely little cabin. I did not expect to have a whole cabin. It was lovely. Overlooked a meadow and just a short walk to the two local restaurants and the beach. Owner allowed me to stash my suitcase while I trekked the Great Walk. Also on return gave me a free ride back to where I rented the backpack. Very kind folks. Lovely dog.

We got upgraded to the 2-bedroom unit. It was a good fit for our family of 4. The room and toilet were clean and tidy. A spacious car park, just in front of the unit. The sofa couch is comfy and relaxing. The 'balcony' is a relaxing area for me as well. I can oversee a farm and a natural view just in front of me. It is a strategic location. A walking distance to the town centre. Fresh Choice is just a 3-minute walk from the motel. There are many cafes in Takaka town. Bay Takeaway is a must-try fish & chips shop.

So many beautiful spots to be explored from Takaka, the spring, the falls, beaches, salmon farm for the lunch, many walks, we should stay longer. Beautiful unit with outdoor seating and beautiful sunset view and beautiful night sky, surrounded by birds songs. Well equipped apartment with everything we need. Laundry facilities are available at communal area. Interesting glow worm cave to be explored at night.
