Very spacious and homely. Everything was there for a comfy stay. Kitchen, cutlery, etc. Phil was amazing and helpful. Even at 10pm in the night! The place is also motorcyclist friendly which was a pleasant surprise. Only about 15 or so minutes from Hokitika, so not a massive detour if you are taking the western highway!

Comfortable and cozy cottage in a lovely garden setting. Very clean and nicely presented with a well equipped kitchenette. Rhod provided an exceptional breakfast tray with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, butter and jam.

The accommodation was so thoroughly cleaned, the bed was really comfortable, there was a table to eat - I did not miss a thing. But mostly, the staff was so incredibly kind and hospitable. When I arrived at Lake Mahinapua, I had caught quite a bad fever and they did absolutely everything to make sure I was looked after (from giving me a room on a more quiet side of the complex, to making sure I had eaten, et cetera). Words cannot express how much I did appreciate that as a solo traveller.
